June 23, 2021—Airwave Media announces the launch of its latest original program, “I Know What Scares You,” which debuts across all major podcast platforms on July 7, 2021.
Hosted by four notable names in the worlds of science and entertainment—science writer Brian Dunning, mentalist Jonathan Pritchard, entertainer and scientist Natalia Reagan, and science expert Dr. Kiki Stanford—“I Know What Scares You” asks guests and listeners to tap into their deepest fears. Special guests relay personal stories of real-life paranormal, inexplicable, or simply terrifying experiences that actually happened to them. The show’s team of expert hosts then attempt to find a rational solution to the mysterious incidents. Each week the program hosts put their various expertise together to collectively come up with an explanation that checks all the boxes and, hopefully, gives a guest a new perspective on their unexplainable experience.
The first three episodes dive into—and attempt to explain—chilling and unimaginable stories that include:
A tale of pre-cognition in which a guest’s dream about a friend’s death eerily comes true
The spooky vision of “Shadow People” (or menacing figures) in the night, accompanied by sleep paralysis
The alleged “The Miami Spooklight”—a basketball sized glowing orb found in a forest in Oklahoma
Science writer Brian Dunning is the host and producer of the “Skeptoid”—one of the longest running and most popular podcasts, and the author of seven books on scientific skepticism. He is the writer and presenter of the documentary films “Here Be Dragons” and “Principles of Curiosity,” has appeared on numerous radio shows and television documentaries, and also hosts the science video series “inFact with Brian Dunning.” A computer scientist by trade, Brian uses new media to showcase the rewards of science and critical thinking.
Natalia Reagan is an anthropologist, comedian, and writer who combines science and comedy to spread science literacy to the masses. Natalia has been a comedy writer and correspondent on Neil deGrasse Tyson’s “StarTalk,” a regular host of the “StarTalk All-Star” podcast, co-host of Spike TV’s “10 Million Dollar Bigfoot Bounty,” an animal expert on Nat Geo Wild’s “Everything You Didn’t Know About Animals,” and a science expert on “Paranormal Caught on Camera.” Later this summer her program “Huevos On Ice: The Science and Sweet Irony of Freezing Eggs During a Global Pandemic” will launch.
Highly sought-after science expert Dr. Kiki Sanford is the creator, producer, and host of the popular and irreverent weekly "This Week in Science" podcast and radio show and the host of the "Stem Cell Podcast." Her previous work includes hosting and appearing on H2's "How2Win" series, "Dr. Kiki’s Science Hour,” The Science Channel’s "Brink," “RoboGames,” Twit-TV’s "Green Tech Today" and "Tech News Today," Revision3’s "PopSiren," and OnNetworks’ "Food Science.”
Jonathan Pritchard is a mentalist, lecturer, and author who has performed on America's Got Talent, Penn & Teller’s Fool Us, the USO tour, and Vegas main stages. He was juggling fire at 13, hammering nails up his nose at 15, and eating fire at 18. Today he is one of the world’s most acclaimed magicians and mentalists and has served as a creative consultant to illusionist Criss Angel.
“I Know What Scares You” will be available for free across all major podcast platforms including Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Pandora, Spotify, Stitcher, TuneIn, and more. The hosts of “I Know What Scare You” are open for interview opportunities.
