Queens Podcast

What do you get when you take two childhood friends with a passion for unexplored history and a whole lotta booze? Queens Podcast! Katy and Nathan share exciting stories of women in history. Katy and Nathan believe that the female perspective and roles are just as deserving of their time in the spotlight! Because history is more than the stories of dudes on a battlefield. Each queen is paired with a drink recipe that will totally get you in the mood to hear the fun, dramatic, juicy, and underrepresented stories of some seriously interesting ladies.

Katy Hearne-Church and Nathan Foster
One day Katy, a bookish (to put it kindly) loud-mouth, called up her equally nerd-a-licious long time friend, Nathan. She had noticed a gap in the world of history podcasts. So many history podcasts were dry and boring. Oh, and also… they were mostly by straight white dudes, about old dead dudes, for … dudes. BORING!
So, these two (anything but boring) put their heads together. “What would WE want to listen to?” they thought. It would have to be entertaining. Well, these two definitely entertain the hell out of themselves, so that’s no issue.
But most importantly, they decided, that they wanted to tell the stories that people might not know. You may know the names and the places, but believe it or not, history is more than the stories of dudes on a battlefield. Katy and Nathan believe that the female perspective and roles are just as deserving of their time in the spotlight!
