Unspookable is a family friendly look at the histories and mysteries behind your favorite scary stories, myths and urban legends. Each week host Elise Parisian digs into the history, brain science, and power dynamics behind such topics as Bloody Mary, Charlie Charlie, and Ouija Boards to find the stories behind the scares. (Recommended for ages 8+)

Elise Parisian


Elise Parisian is a Chicago based mixed media artist and couple and family therapist-in-training at Northwestern University. She transitioned into a career in mental health after her MFA research at The School of the Art Institute led her to think about the many ways in which the past lives with us all in the present, particularly in the context of close relationships. In her clinical work, Parisian is looking forward to building expertise around working with LGBTQ+ youth and their families.
